Texture is how the various combinations of timbre, pitch, and rhythm combine and interact with each other. We might say that the entire Columbus Symphony playing Darth Vader’s Imperial March would create a thick, heavy texture, while the soloists that perform Leia’s Theme would create something much thinner and lighter!
