- He taught composition to Beethoven, Schubert, and Liszt
- There are lots of rumors that Salieri and Mozart were rivals and even enemies. In fact, composer Rimsky-Korsakov wrote an opera called Mozart et Salieri where Salieri tries to poison Mozart! The play and movie Amadeus is also about this supposed rivalry, but there is actually no real evidence that they were enemies.
