Biography
- Developed a method for teaching children music, focused on group rhythm and playing percussion instruments, that is used in classrooms all over the world.
- Invented “Orff Instruments” – the miniature mallet instruments (xylophones and metallophones) used in elementary music classrooms around the world
- In 1924, he and gymnast Dorothy Günther opened the Günther School for gymnastics, dance, and music in Munich.
