Biography
- Higdon has won many awards including the Pulitzer Prize for Music for her Violin Concerto and three GRAMMY Awards for Best Contemporary Classical Composition.
- Higdon has been a Professor of Composition at the Curtis Institute of Music since 1994.
- At age 15, she taught herself how to play the flute.
