Biography
- Hovhaness was an incredibly fast worker who composed over 500 total works, including 67 symphonies!
- Early in his career, he burned hundreds of his own pieces because he wanted to completely restart his style.
- He loved nature and wrote a piece that included actual recorded sounds of whale songs played over the orchestra.
