Biography
- At age 15, Copland decided to become a composer after seeing a concert featuring Polish composer-pianist Paderewski.
- Copland was given the nickname the ‘Dean of American Music’ because of his generosity in helping and teaching young composers.
- His Fanfare for the Common Man is used for American Presidential inaugurations.
